Very hard to tell. It is still relatively small, but even at that size there usually are SOME markings on the body. But since I dont see any, it very well could be a very plain brown discus. It would be best to wait and see a few more months as it grows to get a better idea of what it is.

Too hard to tell at this time. Wait until it colors up more. Where did you purchase it from? If were a red alenquer, you would have paid the price for it. If it was purchased at a LFS, than it is likely just a common brown that hasn't begun to color up yet.

no... i'm just experimenting u know im just looking some random discus at a LFS... and I saw this tiny guy... and it cost me $10.... so i'm really excited wat color he will develop? and until now he hasn't change??? but he gets more orangey to a lil bit of red??? i dunno?

i'm feeding them with tropical granules(tetraColor) .... and sometimes live worms and beefheart... but that discus is not eating beefheart...

U can't base ur food around the color granules they dont get there proper diet. Try blood worms

Discus can be raised just fine on flakes, or pellets. I would recommend adding a good flake to their diet. Adding frozen bloodworms also would be a good idea.
