Hi Everyone,

My plans changed for 180 G tank now its a 210 Gallon tank dimensions 6x2x2 Feet for my 2 silver aros.

I am still struggling to decide on what kind of filter should i put in this tank and should i make it bare bottom or put some gravel/sand in it.

Regards
Ajay

i have an fx5 and a few others combined with hydroponics. you should have a bigger footprint for the silver aros. it is a good growout footprint, but you will need more.

Thanks Guys,

I am planning to finalizing on for a SunSun Canister filter HW-303B (1400 L/H) with UB will this be enough? or will i need a bigger Capacity. its almost cycles the tank water twice in an hour. I was reading somewhere that you should put a filter which cycles 8 to 10 times the capacity of the tank in an hour, is this right? ( I am only going to keep 2 Silver Aros in my Tank)

Ajay.. the more the better.. a 2X turn over is not that great.. i do almost a 3X turnover in my pond when i need to do like 1 or 1.5 turn over.. i'm talking.. say.. adult aros.. the amount of waste they would generate would easily make the water go dirty quicker.. so a smaller body of water tends to get dirtier quicker and also considering the volume of fish in there or the size of the fish.. thats why an 8 to 10X turn over is suggested.. you could prob do two top filters with that..
