Been asking my lfs if they would maybe find a red terror to order. I really like the look of a red terror. I saw this fish and was curious if it could maybe be festae. I'm not real good at identity and this is my phone's camera. If you can see past the glare and let me know, that would be awesome. The lfs sells cichlids as assorted so I just came to MFK for a sure answer.130531_0003.jpg Let me know. I didn't really see the caudal spot so I guess it could be related but not as vibrant? Thanks to everyone that helps.

An expert might be able to answer, but, for me, the pic isn't good enough to tell. I'd look at Los of pics of festae and mayans and decide for yourself (if it is either).

When I zoom in on the pic, it doesn't look like one.

Sorry about the quality of the pic. My phone does need an upgrade... Thank you for looking for me. I figured it would probably not be but I was curious because pictures of jeuvenille red terrors kinda look like that. Thank you again.

Not a festae/red terror looks like some sort of african

African emperor peacock maybe.

But why you post a single pic like that?

If you post more pics, it will better help you find your answer.
