What kind of fish is this?

Bought it at a little hole in the wall shop in a little backwater town and cannot seem to find anyone to identify it yet.

That is a tatooed gourami.....YES, the actually tatooed a fish....very sad.....

Yep its been tattooed. Been seeing that more latley. Tinfoil barbs and Bala sharks are two others I'v seen. Usually they will already be larger fish, I'm guessing to survive the experience.
