What kind of fish is this????

i got this fish yesterday and i have no idea what it is i was told it is some kind of cichlid. manganeuse? wolf? it is about 6 in long 2 in tall and like 1/2 in thick.its kind of a greenish gray blue color body, and a black horizontal line on its top. has a large head and very big mouth. in my opinon it looks like some kind of bass or cross bread. i tried to post some pic let me know what you think it is.

definitely an african. You should always have an ID and do some research on the fish before you buy it.

i wouldhave done research but it was either buy there or not at all. i went to his house and he had tons of fish. mostley cichlids
