what kind of fish is this?

Hey guys I got this fish for free n havent the slightest what he is? I got him from an older lady who acuired him threw friends who couldent take care of him but long story short she dident know what he was? Clearly a Pacu which is among the Amazonian giants. By nature they rarely consume meat, their diet should consist mainly of plant matter as they're digestive organs are fairly primitive and don't break down proteins effectively. Long story short I'd stop feeding it strictly meat based meals..

Yea ive been trying to feed him anything but other fish and meat but sorry to say he just won't he took half my allagator gars fin off n I moved him to his own tank I was under the empretion a pacu was supposed to be a rather peaceful fish but he seems to be the opposite

Kinda guessed as much but why will he only eat meat like ive tryed everything elce he just leaves it be n why is he such a little d!nk towards my other fish?
