I have had this fish for a couple of years now. He has grown from about 4in to 8in now. He is black with white/blue/greenish polka dots. Haven't found any pictures of anything like him online so I figured I'd ask. Any ideas?DSC00003.JPG DSC00006.JPG

Looks like a small spot Polleni cichlid.:) Also known as bleekieri cichlid.

Some kind of paratilapia. There is two common ones: polleni and bleekeri.

I don't know the difference between the two but you have one or the other.

Yes it's Paratilapia polleni, its a cichlid endemic to Masagascar. There are many location variants. Below are 2.
Paratilapia sp "small spot" male (males tend to be slightly less spotted than females, and can have a steeper profile, if the dominant fish).

and Paratilapia sp "Andapa", one of the large spot variants
