Hey Guys, I've always love how gars looked, but I know they get really big and I don't have a big tank...I was wonderin which species i could keep that won't get bigger that My Red tail Gold Arowana and would be okay on a 422 120 gallon tanks....thanks.....

Is ur tank a 422g or a 120g ?

Spotteds do well with other fish and don't grow more than 20"... Tropicals are another option..

4 ft x 2f x 2f

i would also go with florida/spotteds or tropicals(if available). that tank IMO is still a little on the small side to house them for life. i usually recommend
6 x 2 x 2.

IMO.. The tank is small for a RTG... U will need a 180g at least... The RTG and reach 3'...

maybe on the wild or on a pond, but captive bred RTG don't normally exceed 24" Reds and Green however gets a lot bigger....

24" still wouldnt leave too much room for swimming. i woould still suggest an upgrade in the future, but you do have a great starter tank for these fish.
