What kind of gar is this?

Came with the aro I rescued and I was told it was a Florida.

It looks darker than other Florida I have seen. Are they darker and have less pronounced spots when they are smaller? Or is it similar to a datnoid being unstable?

looks beat up. Eye problem and bent snout.

It's eyes are fine, but it's tail is nipped at from prior owners set up and I was told the snout was normal although it does look a bit crooked. I will try to get a top view picture soon. This is my first gar besides a needle nose so I'm not that familiar with them.
