Its a type of Saxatilis group pike, looks like it MIGHT be a female from the blotch in the dorsal. Its possible its sveni, but could be something else as well.

Very porky looking though! Feeding it well I assume?

Sveni would be my answer as well. The heavy patterning, all above the mid line, is classic sveni. The markings in the dorsal indicate female.

I've seriously entertained the idea of grabbing the next batch of "miscellaneous pikes" that come into my LFS just to grow them up. I don't think I've ever seen a fully grown pair of sveni in all their glory. Due to their "commoness" I think they oft times get the shaft.

I think it looks like a Mugornda

They got one left @ my local fishshop and I want it, but it doesn't fit with my Oscars, so I'll need a new tank and I guess its already gone by then

EDIT: Wrong me, its really not the same.

I would guess Sveni as well, a pair of Sveni guarding eggs or fry is really something to see!!! I would urge anyone that has a chance to get some to do it.
