What Kind of piranha is this

I've had him for like a year. The guy who gave it to me said it was a black rhombus piranha its just he has never been fully black hes always that silver grey color. I'm aware they usually don't get there color till they are bigger but he is around 8"- 9".

Looks to me like a Peruvian High back rhom.
Great P's I have a 12" one. They dont perticulaly go that dark compared to the Brasilian and Vinny Rhoms. Hope thats of some interest

Adding some darker color substrate to the tank would make him become a darker tint than he is. The lighter tinted substrate that is in there now could be why he has not darkened that much. Just a suggestion.
