Hello everyone,

I'm new here and I'd like to start with a question and apologize for my English.

I've got a fish in my tank that I took in from people that could not care for it anymore and I would like some information about it. Can anyone help me?

That is an L083 gibbiceps. If you look in the Loricariidae species identification sticky in the pleco section, you will find a lot of info about them.

Welcome to MFK! Also, your english is better than 95% of our members.

Don't worry about it, it is in the making looking at it.
You have Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps, an omnivorous pleco that will attain sizes up to 24", but sometimes smaller. Should feed it mainly veggies, but also some protein foods. Check the dietry thread sticky, that might help.

This must seem like a stupid question but in Holland we use the metric system so could you tell me if 24" is the same as 24 inches? than I can calculate how many cm that is.

thanks
