i saw a photo of a polpyterus in another thread last week and ever since i have been wondering what kind it was. i cant find the thread again to get a pic but it was really light colored and the think i liked about it is that it apeared to have long things coming out of its gills. the "long things" came out of its gills and apeared to have more gills on them? idk. its hard to explain. and help? pics?

probably was a P.senegalus the ''long things'' are the external gills all Polypterids are born with

look through the stickys at the different species until you come across them, thats what theyre there for.

ooooooorrrrrrrr i could ask you what kind of pattern it had, and you could tell me.

beblondie was right. it was a senegalus. it was a newborn albino senegalus. is there any species that keap their expernal gills through live? they look cool

nope

bummer. someone should find a way to make them keap the gills. that would be sweet

so the bichir was wight right

Did the gills point strait up and were pretty long i think your thinking of that platinum bichir pretty sure it was an endli
