Shopping for a reverse osmosis unit is a pain! For those who use them, please tell here what type you have and why. Looking for 100gpd and might want a DI canister to go with it. My tap water is Indiana limestone hell. African lake cichlids love it, plecos don't mind it, but I'd like to do better for my beloved SA pets.

I have Dvoneb aqua 5 stage RO/DI 150GPD with TDS meter, and auto flush system. Great RO unit, and puts out enough water for my use. I use to have a 110 gpd, and it just didn't do it. I also have a Kent 200R Deion, which for you would be a bad idea.

Thx Wyld I'll look those up. How useful would you consider the TDS meter to be? Nice feature but is it accurate and does it need special maintenence?

Very important. The inline ones are quite accurate I have found. These will help you tell when your medias have exhausted, and when you need to backflush the system.

Thx again. Seems like your the only one on MFK that owns an RO unit.
More replies plz!!

From the likes of this thread, looks like you own every ro unit on earth. I was expecting atleast a handful of replies, especially since so many people here have lots of tanks with crazy plumbing etc.
