This little guy was sold to me as a "red tiger severum"...but as I research it, I'm not so sure. I mean there's just six vertical stripes, and no broken stripe?
Am I counting the stripes incorrectly?
Are there any severum experts that can help with my confusion?
Also...I've had him more than a month now, and he eats well, but no perceptible growth. Is that normal?
Many thanks for any input.

It looks stunted, probably the result of poor care in the early stages of life. At this age they should be growing 1/4 to 1/2” a month up until 3” or so.

This fish has 8 bars. Bar 1 is always through the eye, Bar 8 or 9 is always through the caudal peduncle, and the remaining are on the body. It could be severus or Inirida based on the body shape, but it’s honestly impossible to tell due to its size/age.
