Hi,

So me and a friend went to an LFS and I notice these snails that look like jumbo malaysian trumpet snails. They are like 2.5- 3 inches long and all black. The LFS called them "candy stripe snails". And I asked if they were similar to MTS and they said no. I really believe they didn't know anything about them.

I asked how they reproduced, if they burrow, have hard shells like MTS, they said they didn't know. They wanted $2.99 each or 5 for $10. I held out but my friend bought 5. I snapped 3 pics. Tell me what they are. Thanks

My LFS has those, too. They don't know what they are either. I think my LFS killed them or stressed them out majorly. They haven't moved since they arrived. Just guessing, but they look like a brackish species. You should PM mzjinkzd (spelling?) over at AC.

Check out bobstropicalplants . com, I forgot the name, but he sells them and has the scientific name listed.

^^ Ya, i didn't know the scientific name but they are rabbit snails. I like them.
