what kind of species/type are these snakeheads?

Channa pleurophthalma...they are nice and very active...but i find them hard to keep

PLeuros! Get them if you have a big enough tank. They are a med sized SH getting to about 18" with some getting 24" but they are very active, fast and powerful swimmers needing lots of space. Keep your water changes small but frequent enough. Also they are a pita to get off of live food. This is from what Ive googled of course.

they are awesome Channas. Mine live with my aro's and clown knife. It is nearly one foot long.
