Yep, very aggressive also, we had a pair for a while, the black/blue and white one is the male and the yellow female, they can also sex change like some amphibious species. We ended up loosing our female due to the male wanting to mate when she didn't. The male was also very aggressive towards our other cichlids too, we ended up getting rid of him due to that. Beware the Jerkfish.
That blue in the fourth pic is not a auratus or johanni because i owned both of them. the one with the horizontal and vertical stripes what type of fish is it? It looks semular but it definatley not a johanni. I have johanni babies in their you think they might cross?
hah it possible only time will tell. You think a johanni and an interruptus would mix breed. I have a many female johanni over 200+ but i was wondering if they would cross breed. Also is it possible for the other apparent auratus to mix breed.
