What kind of substrate?

Im building a 8'x2'x2' plywood tank, planning on gettin 2 pbass, a few oscars, and a catfish. I like the look of sand, preferably dark sand. I will have 2 emporer 400's, a magnum 350, and a diy wet/dry trickle sump. open to suggestions.

I was about to suggest that, it'd be much easier to clean poo with tile and it looks good!

im actually going this route this time around... black backdrop black tile abstact piece of large driftwood and a blue-ish light i think will look real sharp... well at least in the room im looking to dedicate to it. But your setup looks pretty sweet... i would check homedepot they have relativly cheap black ceramic or granite tile whichever you want...
