Just wondering what kind of UV bulb you guys use for your tortoises. I have 3 tortoises, 2 sulcatas and 1 redfoot. I believe we are using the reptisun 10.0.

Also, what do you guys feed yourr tortoises in the winter time?? We fed our one sulcata dandelion and romaine from the grocery store, but I was wondering if there are other options. It is hard to get them out for some natural sun and grazing in the uncoming months since we are in Ohio.
Thanks,

I don't.

any who...i use repti sun for them while they are indoors while they are outdoors obviously i use the actual sun...for the sulcatas i would feed romaine, kale, dandilion, hibiscus (leaves and flower), and dark green leafed non poisionous weeds...the redfoots mine get romaine, hibiscus (leaves and flower), cantalope, apples, papaya, rehydrated lowfat dog food, hardboiled egg, kale...ah thats what i feed when i have to keep them indoors...

powersun by zoomed :)

highly recommended by tortoise trust

where did you pick the powersun up at? i havent seen them around? also what is the pricing like?

i have been finding out that if you look at some of the UV bulbs "specified" for reptiles and read their UV levels and all that stuff on the packageing then go to a garden store you can find the same bulbs sometimes alot cheaper sometimes a few dollars cheaper... i just went to pick up another reptisun for my sick redfoot i have seperated and i was at a store and they wanted $30 for it and i had to make a run to the garden store across the street and they had one with the same readings for UV levels and what not for indoor gardens that was only $18 so i picked it up and gonna see how it works out...

how big is your sulcata??!!!
