Was just curious what Kind of video camera you were using. anyone have a hard drive cam or direct DVD video camera? or a DV ?

I am in the market for a new video camera for vacations. zoo trips and of course shooting videos of my fronts. (which i have yet to do) and be able to put them on my PC

i am stuck between the Direct DVD or a hard drive camera.

what are your thoughts?

Thanks

I am currently using a Canon S2 IS. It's a great camera for making movies because it has a true VGA mode and it's a real camera at the same time.

I am really looking for on e i can transfer to my PC, filming of my fish. so i am stuck between a hard drive cam or a DVD cam. not sure if it will just be better to go with a direct DVD cam so its already burned to a DVD. verses a hard drive cam. which then will still have to burn to a DVD so if one doesn't have a DVD burner i see it to be more costly in the long run by having to buy a Burner.

i have been looking at the Sony DVD myself. just not sure which one yet. :irked:

Try this

See if that works for the long link

I am using the Sony DSC-HC32. I would not recommend getting the DVD direct type. They are far more costly. The dvds are a smaller type generally, and cost more, hold only 30 minutes of film. You are constantly switching disks. The HC32 is a really good camera, easy to move data files over to the computer for editing. A simple camera to use, and has great quality of video.
