The Giant Snakehead, it also comes in that colour. Pretty much changes actually depending on emotion, water chemistry besides age...suddenly appearing black, suddenly black with green cast and then going back to showing the stripes. Sometimes it is totally black including the white belly appearing like a true BLACK SNAKEHEAD!
However the Giant Snakehead is obviously not a carbon copy in its appearance. One of the best characteristics of Micropeltes is that they come in many different colours and body patterns. Beautiful! How big is this specimen and how much is he selling for?

i dont know how big but he is selling the tank and everything for $120 but its on craigslist.org so he said he cant sell the fish on there but will talk about it somewhere else so i haven't called him so i dont know how much he wants but if its a giant it wont stay in that 80 gallon for long dang if it is a giant i dont think i can get it i dont have that big of a tank

Killerfish: I see that you are from colorado. You should know that possesion of a snakehead is illegal in most states. I'm pretty sure all but Maryland and they only allow dwarf snakeheads.

i know thay are illegal that is why i jumped when i saw this fish well he is said to be in a 80 gallon so that wont do for long he could go in the outdoor pond im getting the red snakehead (thats what he is right?) is cold tolorent right so he could live if the pond that got down to like 50 degrees or so in the winter right if not i might get him and do huge water changes till my 180 comes in then i will probly put him in a 300 instead of cichlids
