Tough to tell when they're that small but if it isn't marked otherwise and is in a lfs that normally doesn't have them...it's usually a mono from florida. With the yellow around the black like that though it may be an orino. I'm sure dieselmack or one of these other pbass gurus will be able to tell you though.

Looks mono to me. As for the tank 125g-200g can't even keep one for life. That size tank might do him 1 year 1/2 -2 years if you slow feedings down when he's bigger..

I would say its a ... Hhhmmm A .... Oh yea!! I got it!! It's juvinile :) And there are a couple sp. that look exactly like that while juvies :) The price tag calls out Juvie Farm raised Mono.. But give it a few months and try again.. for more accurate markings :)

There's a big difference between a 125 and a 200 gallon tank. I wouldn't try to keep one for any worthwhile length of time in anything smaller than a 180g. As always, go for the biggest tank you think you can afford as you'll be happier in the long run. Have fun growing a couple out and see how big they actually get. If you don't end up having the room, I'm sure you won't have much trouble finding someone willing to adopt them.

I wouldn't hesitate to put 3-4 in a 210. You could probably have them in there for several years. I'd stay away from Temensis though unless you plan on upgrading to a real monster tank in the future.

I would have to agree that its a mono. Not a bad price for any PBass. Great Pickup....I would raise the temp a little to about 86-90. They are very prone to ich. Currently I have 10 Orinos in my divided 125 and temp at 88. Seems to be doing great. Have you gotten him off live yet?
