Bro trying to determine which varient doviis are is very difficult unless they're wild caught and even then it can still be hard. where did you buy it? and maybe ask them who they buy from and that should at least narrow it down to the possibilities. And the pics arnt clear enough to be exact on sexing. just from what i see i would say female but would need clearer pics to be sure. also there are some good threads in the search forum describing how to sex dovii

Based on this thread, most of your prior threads and your inability to use google to research the fish before and after you get them, you dont have a clue what 90% of the fish you have are to begin with, so accussing someone of ripping you off is the last thing you should be doing. If you got it from Jeff, you can be 99% sure it is what he said it is. Also, if youd read the replies from other members to this post, youd know its a dovii and TOO SMALL to accurately tell from the pictures that posted.

at 4 inches you can sex dovii and yours looks to be female. i bet a clearer and closer pic would confirm that. its easier to tell on males if there nic or costa rican then females but if jeff said its a nic then it is.
Nice looking dovii but need better pics to sex. bottom pic kinda looks male but cant tell. the rest look female, so ya post some better pics
Just curious what you paid? You didn't get ripped of unless Rapps did, he has one Hell of a reputation. Don't think it matters much though unless you are breeding them. If you are you're going to need a new tank! Good luck anyway....
