What kinda gar?

Not mine, but having a debate with the owner. We can't figure it out. Kinda looks Florida, but the snout isn't right. Snout is almost gator but nothing else points to gator. I thought tropical but no trident.

Looks like spotted gar to me.

Florida or spotted, they are indistinguishable to a layman in the field.

I don't see any grounds to doubt. The snout looks within the usual.

Thanks for the responses. I think the first side angle threw me off looking at the snout.
