what kinda softshell

Not sure what kinda soft shell. And how big do they get like as big as a dinner plate?

Spiny Softshell, about a year to a year and a half old. They can reach a SCL of 9'" if male, 18" if female

the person i got it from sed it killed a another soft shell an a red ear is that normal are they aggresive or i just got won bad mother #$@%*!

They are very aggressive. They do best by themselves.

I had one of these till my Florida softshell ate its head off
probably was smart to put them together with the size difference or to put them together at all.

Are the hardy turtles (can they survive rough conditions)?

Not really, they more so than most Turtles really require clean well filtered water, they tend to get ulcers if it isn't
