Hello MFK!

So a buddy of mine that works at a LFS received an order of Ottos yesterday from Colombia, but the bag came with 6 extra mystery cats that nobody could ID. So he gave me one for $2. Now i have this mystery cat in a bag n need ur help :D

As stated, looks like a Pimelodella so. Not sure which one though, I'm better with Ictalurids and Doradids than pimelodids.

Thanks for the help guys!

So i did some research, but there isn't much about this thing. All i can seem to find is that it seems to be an insectivore, grows to 5" ish, and lives in 75-80°f temp. Any insight on activity, appetite, and aggression? I saw a video of two of these cats fighting, do they do that often?

Mine ate pellets and was very active. He kept me up all night by jumping every 5 minutes.

IME, they are close to Pimelodus pictus in behavior and care. Not fussy. Adaptable. Quirky. Not aggressive, even to their own kin IME again. Males have a much bigger upper caudal lobe.
