It is really up to you. I prefer a 6700k bulb on all my tanks.

I dont get it? Fish hardly look different under different lighting I.E T5 LED T8 etc, its more the bulb and what depth your going at a T8 wont work as well as a MH at a 3ft+ height but on a 14 a MH will just produce algae and most likely overheat your water depending on how long its on and how far. different spectrum's in a bulb will produce a difference.

As said above color temperature is what makes them look different. I prefer 6500 or 10k with actinic

I got a 10k and an acintic on my tank with red sevs. Looks good to me
