What lights to use?

I tried searching, but did not come up with anything useful really..

What types of lights should I use for my 130gal cichlid tank?

Will some florescent lights from Lowe's do the trick?

If you're not trying to grow any plants then you should be fine with basic florescent bulbs.

You don't want to get anything too intense though, because most cichlids do not like bright light. I would use a bulb that has cooler colors in the spectrum.

I think the bulb I used was an AquaGlow or something like that. It has more of a green/blue hue to it so it doesn't bleach out your fish.

I like the T8 6700k daylight bulbs from lowes. Cheap and good looking.
