What line are you running on your gear?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
last year i tryed 10 lb suffix on my pti energy and absolutely loved it definitely worth spending top dollar

I run 8Lb Spyder on everything but my surf pole. My Brother In law lined my surf pole because he borrows it all the time and I honestly have no idea what's on it.

I use Berkley Fireline original 10lb test on all of my Walleye/Bass rods. Fireline is amazing.

Both baitcast and spinning. I use 30lbs Power Pro braid for trout, panfish, bass, salmon, american shad, carp, stripe bass, catfish etc. For 100lbs Power Pro braid I use it for white sturgeon, leopard shark, 7 gills shark, and bat ray. And of course, my leader is mono so switch it according to what your fishing for. :)

On the surfgear, 60lb fireline, the inshore shark rods, 30lb fireline. Everything else is ultralights with stren 4lb test, or rods i don't really use, offshore, ect. My flyrods change constantly depending on the situation. I've got line weights fro 2-12, floating, sinking, intermediates, shooting heads, I've got a lot of crap man! ;)

For heavy coverage/ Baitcast setup(Mainline: 30lb Sufix328,Leader: Seaguar #14).
For normal fishing/ Baitcast setup(Mainline: 15lb Sufix328,Leader: seaguar #10).
For light tackle/ Spinning setup(Mainline:10lb PowerPro,Leader Galis 20lb).

For pyramid lake big cutthroat fishing I use 12# stren flouro. For fishing the smaller rivers I use 4# stren flouro.

Rio Gold weight forward floating in 5 wt. Oh wait.....hehe

All my spinning stuff has the P-Line mono-fluoro hybrid stuff, in moss green. I love the stuff, its damn near gone in water. I run 2lb on a couple rigs, 4 on most and i think my bass get up has 8lb on it. I also have some leaders tied for my 8wt fly rod that are 30lb mono with 18" #40 braided steel for muskies or saltwater fishes with teef
