This morning i went down to feed the fish.. i knew it would be a use less effort to feed the Big Jag some freeze dried krill, or pellets or shrimp pellets..but like i have done for the last three weeks i did again... sprinkled a few in his tank.. i was just about to walk away in defeat when i saw the big jaws open wide and engulf the large freezed dried shrimp... i stood there really not believing my eyes.. but he ate that piece and went for the next.. after weeks of picking out meal worms {gives me the heeby geebies} he was finally eating something else.. success at last.. i thought this was a a small gift for christmas that meant so much to me.. I was so full of dispair since earlier in the day i had discussed the problem with this jag to an experienced owner of a local LFS..He said once a fish is use to eating live food like that the only way to change him is to nearly starve him .he said it can take weeks.. until he is near death sometimes and then survival kicks in and he finally eats what your offering.. well that would never be an option for one of my fish to go through all that suffering so i literly jumped for joy this am.. to me it was a great present.. and i gave him a few meal worms for desert...
