Oregon, it's part of 'Murica!
I have searched and I have read the Flowerhorn 101 post but it hasn't really helped much.[/COLOR]

1. What exact traits make a flowerhorn ZZ or Kamfa?

2. If my Bonsai ZZ finally does breed with my parrot what will it be? Shortbody Kamfas, Kamfa Kilins, regular Kilins, shortbody ZZ?

well what makes a strain is what its made ofand its really hard to tell what a Fh is made of just by looking at it. and you fry would probly be killin zz/faders

exactly, i dont know the real differences between the two but if you dont know the genetics or breeder of your male zz you can try to determine the type by comparing it to pics on google, but it would still be hard to be exactly sure with all the cross breeding in home aquariums. I think yours would technically be zz x killin, but u should call them zz parrots, or bonsai killers lol

kamfas have even mouths, white eyes, fan tails and wrap fins...

ZZ have red eyes, longer lower jaw, round tails and not wrap fins...

Anyway, a fish has to have certain traits to be deemed Kamfa. The bodyshape, fins, face will say if its a Kamfa or not. Those 2 fish carry a lot of genetics so you going to end up with a mixed batch of fry, Some ZZ, Some Kamfa, Most SB, Some will fade. It will be varied. There will be several nice fish, several that need to be culled, and several average looking mixes.
