I Just sold my sev/uaru mixed group and have this odd shaped tank. An suggestions what to put that can stay for life? Would prefer single "wet pet"
but I'm open to any suggestions aside from schooling fish such as discus etc..

sounds funky any pics of the tank ?

Thats what I'm thinking. To be a meter deep that would be some thick ass glass or acrylic and very expensive. Would be a cool looking tank though.

I would say that you are somewhat limited, even though you have huge depth and hight the length is short.

I would go for a 12" pair of SA/CA cichlids and lots of smaller dither/target/feeder type fish.

I would be interested to as what the SA/CA forum would say about this tank. As most there completely shot down my inquires about a pair of RDs in a 30x30" tank

Here's the tank back when I first got it. Its made from old bank doors.

How about an Aro?
i think Aro will do ok for that tank.

Other suggestions:
-Snakehead
-RTC
-Giant gourami

some people may not think velvet ciclids, tiger oscar, are very exotic or cool but for a 'wet pet' they are possibly the best. mine will hand feed, is pleased to see me, dances' for treats and will even pass comment on my partners new hairstyle if he doesn't like it. should not out grow your tank (mine is in 48 x15x18), and with a nice large plec for company will give you years of pleasure.

I have some Flowerhorns and other Cichlids in other tanks and love their personalities. The Wife wants me to do discus in this tank but I'm trying to come up with an unusual alternative cause i really don't care for discus. Thanks for the suggestions!
