What moss is thicker than

java moss? i was given some java moss today and the strands were pretty stringy and narrow. in comparison to what i already had, that is. the stuff i already had is about 3 times as thick (girth) as the java moss i got.
my question is, does java moss change in its thickness based on the nutrients and lighting it has? or could i have fontinalis?

You sure you got the java moss and not the other moss (like taiwan moss, xmass moss, weeping moss etc..)

For my experiance on some other moss, yeah they can grow really thick if you have the proper setup (lights, ferts, etc)

Mosses will vary in density depending on the parameters it is grown in.
