Good morning all. Currently running a 55 long with 6 young "assorted" one is definatly a lab, a convict, acei and the rest were picked out of assorted. I know none of these will get huge and I have a bit of space left. I was just curious with what else you all keep with yours.

maybe get a couple haps? Like electric blue's or dolphins or something cool like that.

Are you joking? ....Its a 55g tank, he would need to upgrade before long, but the electric blues could work well since they don't get as big as most haps.

Before long he said young which makes me think 1-1.5" which will be about 8 months-1year before a upgrade lol. I think he should be okay for a little bit. But you are definitely right.

Lol smart asses. I have a larger tank in storage. I just don't trust anything bigger on the top floor of an apartment building so I picked up a 55 to keep me happy.

They are all about 1.5".

Here's some decent shots of my stock. Gotta make the GF happy too lol.

Dont hesitate to let me know opinions.

I guess you got a point there.

I think you'll be fine with some smaller haps such as n. livingstonii or n. venustus if you plan to upgrade to a 100g+ later on...

get a baby blue ahli or something blue to add some blue to the tank it will look really cool. Or get a blue dolphin. Those are super cool and grow really slow so you will be good for a loooonnnngggg time good luck :P

Get a couple Pseudotropheus socolofi albino. They will eventually get about 4 inches or so and their fins get kind of powder blue while the rest of their body stays the albino pinky color. They sell as snow white cichlid, albino cichlid, and a couple other names.
