What % of water change do you do weekly

Nevermind...didn't realize I was in brackish forum.lol

I do at least 15% a week. Or 20% every two weeks. I have a 100gal canister on a 75, so unless there are any actual problems in the tank - I don't do bigger ones.

Weekly 75% FW, 50% BW & 15-50% SW (I have a reef tank with a sump & fuge with very light nitrates but the smaller tanks need larger WC).

I was wondering cause I try not to have fluctuation in my water chemistry, and I try to use as little amount of additives as possible. For the long term health I just wanted to know what you guys thought
I want to breed my mono seba so I have to keep this shoal all togther to full size with no losses going to move up to a 600 in 1 to 1.5 years .

I have an XP3, AC110, Penguin 350 biowheel and a Fluval 4 internal on my 100G brackish. I dont have to do alot of waterchanges, I take out about 15% every week to ten days. Even then I have NEVER seen my nitrates above 10ppm

do you raise your salt levels, I have been raising 1/8 teaspoon every change lately 10 % every 4 days cause I have been heavy feeding cause trying to stud my boys up so I have not been raising salt every change maybe every 2 changes

If you do larger water changes often (at least weekly) then the paramaters are closer to t he tap water you are adding. Discus breeders do 100% daily. My disscus just laid eggs, so I must be doing something right...

As far as adding salt--1/8 tsp/week isn't going to get you anywhere. It takes roughly a cup of salt/5g to raise your SG by .005. If your goal is eventual SW for these fish, you may never get there. As long as you don't raise your SG faster than .002/week, you should be fine.
