well im setting up a 235 gallon tank 5'by3'by2' wondered if there are any arowanas that could live in here? i wish i could get a asain :(. i dont want a silver wouldnt fit in my tank anyways. any help would be great thanks

Jardini might be a good choice.

Welcome to MFK!!

Asian aros are not legal in the US. There are alot available (it seems). However, you're just as easily ripped off by scammers advertising something they don't have. You send your money, receive nothing, and there's no recourse for you. You can't report them since this is an illegal transaction in the US.
You could get a jardini. They're inexpensive but, can be mean to tankmates. There's also the leichardti aro but, they're more costly at around $300 for a 3-5" juvie.
Check our sponsors lists. There's usually several batches of these aros available at any given time.

ya i know asains are illegal thats why i said i wish i could get one. i cant get a jardini because i want to house it with rays. what about a black arow but i think they get about the size of silvers. thanks for the fast feedback guys i like this site

I would go with a leichardti! Beautiful fish! Not as big a punk as jardinis.
Heres mine :)

People say that, but just one look at mine will change your mind...

It does seem to be the general rule though, I do see more leichardtis in comm tanks than I see jardini.

I would go with leichardti though if $$ is not an issue.
