Hello all:

I've currently got a 75G tank with 1 severum, 1 blue acara, and a school of 8 boesemani rainbowfish.

I'm trying to complete the stocking on this tank and I'm wondering if there is another single cichlid I could put in this tank.

I know that I have asked some similar questions on other threads, but one was focused on keeping 1 oscar with the 1 severum (without the acara) which I ruled out because long term, it won't work and both fish might need their own 75G tank. In my other thread, I was thinking about getting a 55G tank, but now, with the 75G, I have more real estate to work with.

I'm also getting some mixed feedback on whether it is a good idea to keep the bows in this tank- any thoughts on this? How can I make the tank look more full while the cichlids are babies?

Thanks!

While the severum is still a juvie, I am trying to decide if I should add a second one, or if it would be better to add a second acara, or perhaps something different altogether, perhaps a chocolate cichlid, bolivians or keyholes.

Any thoughts?

you can put some more severums. red headed ones rotkeil. Maybe some chocolate cichlids. jewel cichlids will be fine also. anything else you are asking for it.

Depends, do you wanna house these fish for life? If you dont mind raising them up to a certain size and getting rid of them later, then you have soem options. I wouldnt add anything to it that cant defend itself or is too small. Those Bolivian Rams will be destroyed.

i agree. you can stick with the severums. even though they are a fair tempered cichlid, they are still cichlids. very terratorial.

you can maybe do some vieja argentea

I was thinking Keyholes before I read your 2nd post thinking the same thing. Chocolate's are awesome, too. I really enjoy mine, she just minds her own business and stays out of the Oscar's way.
