what other fish to add with my 2 new fis

i just bought these 2 fish today a blue-striped catfish and a apollo shark heres the pick View attachment 734076View attachment 734078 i would like your input on cheap but descent looking fish to add with these to little guys

Giant danios or larger tetra species would work well. for something out of the schooling mold you could do a semi aggressive cichlid species or mid sized gourami.

also you should know apollos are schooling fish and do better in groups

That's a channel catfish, and it's going to get big & make a meal out of everything else.

the guy who was working at the aquarium shop that i bought this from said because of my tank size which is 37 gallons it wouldnt get that big

Uh, it's still going to get big. You were given the old, "Oh, it will not get that big because it only grows to the size of the aquarium," B.S. sales technique that far too many LFSs use.

well its a little over 2 inches maybe even less if it does hit a huge sprout in size he said he would buy it back only store credit because he hasnt seen one big so its kinda a win win
