What paint should i use

I have a wood stand the color its a chestnut; i want to change the color to black, what spray can paint brand should i use?.
Tell me about your results and if you have to prime first, thank you for the help.

I like Krylon Fusion. It bonds to just about anything and doesn't require primer.

I second the fusion - It'll spray on fairly nice and een (go lightly though) and stand up to a ton of abuse.

I try to use paints for their intended purpose, and Fusion is a paint meant for plastics. you *can* use it, but why not use a cheaper alternative for the intended purpose?

IMO outdoor paint is the best to use.. any brand will do. I used valspar outdoor furniture paint! I spray painted my sister's stand to her 44corner... and it's done wonders.. since it does protect the stand from water damage!
