I have a large plywood tank with a glass front. It had previously been used for saltwater and the inside was sealed/painted with white epoxy resin.
I want to paint it black.
Any ideas on what to use?
I got a quote on black epoxy resin for $360 (5 gallons was the smallest quantity i could get). Anything cheaper that would work?

Just use a different brand of epoxy. You could get it a lot cheaper and will give you the best results.

Get some pond armor, it is like $75 a gallon and it comes in a lot of colors. Just do a google search

Just make sure that the paint you choose is compatible with the white paint.
Do you know what kind of epoxy paint the white paint is??
Bass makes a good point. Generally you will need to use an epoxy over an epoxy. You will also need to give the original a thorough sanding as the new coats will stick by a mechanical means and not chemical bond.

Thanks for the info. If I sand the existing epoxy with large grit sandpaper do you think pond armor would stick to it?
