I brought some fish in from my outdoor tub. The fish look healthy, but have small raised circular dark spots on their bodies along with some black flecks in their fins. The fish are flashing and scraping their sides some. I could try to get a picture, but I would need a macro lens to capture what the small raised spots look like.

I'm going to do a treatment of metro/prazi (Api General Cure) to see if the spots respond. If anybody has some suggestions as to a possible cause I would love to hear it. The black marks on the fins are not the spots we often see on wild fish. Both groups of fish are f1 grow outs.

maybe a type of fish lice? I'd imagine anything designed for anchor worms or the like would probably handle that as well.

I'm not sure. What I am curious about is are the black spots in the fins a different issue or an affect from the spots on the body. I guess how the fish respond to a general parasite treatment like API general cure may shed some light on what it may be.
