What ph should i have for my silver arowana?

What ph should i have for my silver arowana? ive herd many different things and i want to know the facts my ph looks to be a 6.6 or 6.8Photo 20.jpg
also will adding a little salt be fine ? i herd it preventives diseases from forming and ive had to columbean sharks die mystery deaths one with a odd blood blister in its top fin and another from tank jumping then dieing later

a stable ph is far better then any specific ph
 
The stable PH factor for South American fish is 6.0.......................Anyhting higher is more suitable for fish from the African lakes, such as Tanganika.....

Absolutely correct!

I haven't kept a silver before but lots of Jardini's......they all thrived in a pH north of 7.5
