I would like some variety on my 180 tank and was looking on some nice pikes. do they do well with datnoids, bichir and possibly an ATF? and what pike would you guys recommend keeping... i am looking into exotic types and high end type of pikes.
What pike should i get?

really depends on you color choice. since your other fish are big enough to not be eating. Also price of course.

Biggest problem would be the ATF, as it will either pick on the pike or get picked on. Pikes are laterally compressed, so it would be an easier target for eating and such. Plus almost all ATF get at least 2'....most pikes only get to about 18", all be it thick. Best bet would be either Crenicichla marmorata, Crenicichla lenticulata, Crenicichla cincta, or Crenicichla strigata ( true strigata... ) . If color wasn't an issue, Crenicichla sp. 'venezuela' would be the best choice, as they get huge!
