hey guys, im thinking tearing down my 65gal community tank and making it a one off fish tank.
i was thinking a pike would be a cool idea, i had one about 10 years ago in my 120gal (which i no longer have) and he had great personality.
so would there be any pike suited for a 65gal for life?
tank is 36 x 18 x 24high.

also, has anyone ever kept pikes with catfish ? if so what pikes and what cats.

thanx !

What else are you going to be throwing in there?

there are lots of pikes that don't get very big.

probably nothing, maybe my featherfin syno cat if a pike wouldnt bully him.
but other than that, would be just a single fish tank

You could try just about any Saxatillus group Pikes, they get about 10", some are smaller - lot of spangling, showy fish. Lepidota or punctata (nice spotting) also would work. Don't know about the catfish....

johanna would be fine, too.

Do not get a Venezuala LOL they get huge! The Sax pikes are awesome! I found one last week at a pet store and almost bought him but didn't... Wish I would've.

I have my pike in with a Red tail Black shark and that works. My Shark is the meanest little pr_ck I have ever had too.

When you get one post a pic!
