I need to ID a plant I have. It is a stemed plant, it grows frolifically even under an old, 15-watt light( it's even out of the water in my 55 gallon) and the leaves are sort of razor-shaped. the plasnt is mostly green with a little redishness on the top of a few leaves.

my dad is redoiong his office and this PC doesn't have a digi picture card holder. sorry, had to describe best I could. By the way, I got it at Ikea, if that might help at all.

Is it one of the few aquatic plants they sell, or one of the ones that need to be mostly out of water... like lucky bamboo?

You will have to get a picture. Your description is hard to follow. Just because they say it's aquatic does not mean that it truly aquatic.

By your description, it kind of sounds like Wisteria. It grows like crazy as well. Does it look like this?

Scarlet Temple? Telanthera

You really need to try and get a picture.

Your description isn't the best. I have that it is a stem based plant. By razor, do you mean serrated? Are the leaves alternating, or does each node send out multiple leave?

The plant you describe could be one of many species of ludwigia, hygro, lilaeopsis, proserpinaca, or rotala.
