I have a 4 year old 24" Zoo Med Fluorescent plant bulb in right now, not sure the watts? 17 or 20w I think..?
29 gallon tank with a glass top.
EMP-400 filter
gravel rock caves, nothing fake in the tank.
dark algae does grow in my tank.

What plants can I put in my tank? Top water floating plants and bottom plants. I need a list of what I can use so I know what to look for or what I might have to order.
Can someone help me with this please? :)

Thanks for the help...

With that little amount of light you're only going to be able to keep ferns, Java moss and Anubias underwater. You may be able to grow some floating plants like duckweed, frogbit, and the like. But I've never tried nor seen it tried with that low of a light before.

That's what I was worried about.
How low of light could the ferns, Java moss and Anubias handle?

I'm new to plants, I had some a while back but they melted for obvious reason with same light setup as now..

Anubias species, Java Fern, Windelov Fern, Hair Grass, Java Moss and Hygrophila. That's all I got. I believe these guys can handle low lights

I got 0.62 watts per gallon... :nilly:
How many WPG do you have on your tank?

How full do you think I can fill my tank before I start having problems?
I don't do water changes often, once a month or so.
