I currently have a group of Green Terrors a Convict, a Clown Loach and a Bristlenose in my 100g with view of gettign a pair of GTs out of them to keep long term.

My current plan is this...

Dark Blue Background,Bubble Wall,Deep sand bed...sort of like a sand dune....Large pieces of mopani wood and some plants for the back ground

Which shall i go for?

I have always had sucsess with Cabomba but would these be to easy for the GT's to eat?

Is Vallis ok? I have kept Giant Vallis before in old tanks but can't seem to find it anymore anywhere.

I don't really like Java Fern...its a bit to dark/dull looking

I like the look of this...

Bumping this thread up because i double posted the old one

Basically any kind of plastic plant works with them. In nature they are more in rocky areas I believe and so plants tend to get removed as they don't like them so much. My female though likes to hide in my plants and so as always, all fish are different.

How are they with Vallis? or Giant Vallis?

In the wild they live in shallow waters mainly, sandy bottom, hiding under big roots untill prey swims buy, or drops down from the tree.

To be honest, plants don't really belong in a GT tank, but i understand how it can look good.
Just get some really rugged plants, and bury them well in the sand.
I would however, use gravel as the substrate if you're gonna put plants in there.
The fish have a harder time digging them up by the roots if you bury it in gravel, and all around it.
