I have a 75 gal. tank that will house a few angelfish and a school of tetra's. I'm looking for a compatible pleco to go with these fish. The tank is also planted with a sand bottom (pool filter sand). Any suggestions would be great. L# and Common name if it has one.. Thanks.

A common... A Sailfin, A Rhino, Panaques (excluding the small ones)

^ These would do best by themselves.

You might be able to squeeze 2 Hypostomus variations.

BNs, Peckoltia, or the small L numbers can be in the handful.

A final note, give hiding spots for every pleco in the tank

Aggreed^ , but it's well worth the risk ,i think.
I got many plecos and slow moving fish but never had any issues.
Here some of mine that would do well and don't grow too big.

Pseudacanthicus Mustang Cactus Pleco L65, upto 8"

Oligancistrus Xingu new Polkadot Pleco L354, upto 10"

Or, like warborg suggested as well, Hypostomus, upto round about 1'.

Mind you big plecos can be very territorial, and like suggested above, make sure you have enough caves for them, preferably 1 more than the number of plecos you have.
btw the first 2 may be a bit harder to get due to the export ban.
The L354 is considered very rare in Holland.

2 plecos and 1 angelfish... no problems to date
they have been together for 6 months now

Thanks for the info guys. Very helpful. I'm liking the L200 and the L015. I'll post pics when I figure out if I can get them from my LFS.

I find the L-14 to be a very peaceful pleco, even if its a giant pleco.. (12") granted.. they are meat eaters.... but The temperature required for angel is similar to the temperature of L-14.

l-200 Green phantom is great.. love these guys so much. they are great fish to keep as well.

I also would recommend Gold Nugget.. L-081 or L-128 Blue Phantom..
