I am looking for a second filter to add to my current setup, but having a hard time finding anything that will work with my existing 4" inlet. I also have a 2" bypass for my current pressure filter I could branch off of, but all the commerical filters I find in my budget ($400 or so) are 1 1/4" inlet and outlet.
I do not want anything DIY as my pond is aprox 8.5' above my pump/filter room so I need a good solid seal (no wet/dry, sadly).
My current filter is a Sta-Rite pool filter with a cannister that is 14"X28" and is running at 40 PSI @ about 3500 GPH.
Any ideas? I have a spot for a filter in my pump room, a section of pipe about 4' long, but it is a 4" pipe. I was thinking inline UV filter on that pipe and running a second filter in series behind my current filter (or in front of it, depending on the physical layout of the filter I end up with).
Here is a pic of my current plumbing- I was thinking of adding a second filter in the corner behind the existing one.
The dark section of pipe on the top right side is old school copper pipe I do not want to cut if I do not have to. All the other pipes are either flex pipe or plastic PVC.
